Why am I an artist?

Art has always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by fabrics my mother used to sew dresses for my ballet performances. Dance, music, colors – all of that was an early and natural expression of my world. I played the piano, performed on stage, sang in school concerts, and regularly visited theaters and museums. On walks to my great-aunt’s house, I would recite my grandmother’s favorite poems. Without realizing it, I was constantly surrounded by art.

But it wasn’t until I discovered painting that I found my true form of expression. Today, colors dance on my canvases just like the fabrics once whirled around me. Color is my language. Through strong contrasts and powerful compositions, I bring to the canvas what moves me. It’s not just about creating something beautiful – it’s about making emotions visible, making energy tangible.

In painting, I found my Ikigai. It fulfills me, brings me into a state of flow where time and space cease to exist. I believe that art has the power to move and inspire people. That’s why it’s my mission – and my deepest wish – to share it with the world.

I paint large-scale canvases using acrylic paints, color pigments, oil pastels, and spray paint. I draw inspiration from the structures of nature, current color trends, interior design compositions, personal experiences, and cultural impressions – from gallery openings, theater visits, opera and ballet performances. The atmosphere of these places, the elegance of movement, the staging of light and color, and the emotional depth of the performances flow into my art. These experiences shape my work and give it a unique expressive power.

I paint intuitively. I always start with a sense of the size, color composition, and style of the piece. But once I begin, the creative process takes over. The colors flow, overlap, react with one another – and the painting evolves organically. Every brushstroke, every movement is an expression of the moment. That’s how artworks come into being that make energy palpable and emotions visible.

"I have seen many artworks in museums around the world, but none have touched me as deeply as this painting. It conveys a sense of familiarity and belonging – it feels like ‘our painting.’ The colors, perfectly aligned with our preferences, create a unique harmony. They calm the mind while simultaneously offering a carefree lightness. At first glance, it seems like a mere play of colors. But the longer you engage with it, the more hidden worlds reveal themselves, captivating the viewer."
